Biography

*Personality: Ritchie is a very competitive guy by nature. With two male siblings; one older and one younger, standing out is something that has become extremely important. Ritchie sticks to his goals and always looks to impress, especially when it comes to women. He is known to go weak at the knees around blue-haired women. In the way of food, Ritchie has slightly above average cooking abilities. He can follow a recipe extremely well and is not afraid to get creative as part of his yearning to stand out. Ritchie has keen admiration of nature and its beauty, making him the spitting image of a nature boy.


Another major note about Ritchie is his fear of ghosts. A Gengar once entered his mind while sleeping and invoked an intense nightmare when he was younger. His high competitive streak means he's incredibly prone to taking on dares and other things usually dangerous by nature. The final piece note to his personality is his gift for photography. Ritchie keeps a camera on him during travels and is quick to photograph anything that fascinates him.


**History: Ritchie Donovan is unique in the fact that his home town lies in none of the major regions of Pokemon habitats. Ritchie is actually a native of the United States and is often referred to as the American Gym Leader. This is because Ritchie is one of the 15 Gym Leaders in the American Pokemon League and his gym resides in Ft. Lauderdale Florida.

Ritchie's stride to stand out caused him to take the Pokemon Gym Leader exams when he was just 11 and he passed with flying colors. This makes him the youngest person to ever take the gym leader exam and pass. With the help of his older brother and father, he renovated an empty house to be fit for gym battles. Then he began taking on challengers to receive a badge for the American League.


Ritchie's experience as a Pokemon trainer flourished because of this and he presents himself with a formidable aura as result. Ritchie's specialty lies in Pokemon that evolve with the use of special stones and his gym team reflected this. However, by age 15 Ritchie began to yearn for the world outside his hometown and no longer wished to maintain the gym.


Because it was registered with the American league he needed someone to replace him before he could step down. Ritchie's older brother Alister was coerced to take over the gym and so he took the exam also passing. With Alister in control of the gym, this left Ritchie free to do as he wished and so he decided to travel abroad. Before he left, a Pokemon Egg his Pokemon laid hatched into a baby Eevee.

Ritchie saw this as a sign and decided to take this Eevee along with him as his only Pokemon for the start of his new travels. He arrives in Luenn eager to face the challenges of obtaining his own Pokemon badges and competing in the Pokemon League.
